LDF will come back to power in Kerala Assembly Election 2016 reveals IMEG Kerala Opinion Poll

L.D.F: 83 to 90 seats ;   U.D.F: 50 to 57 seats;    N.D.A: 0 seats

Institute For Monitoring Economic Growth ( I.M.E.G) ,a research organization based at Thiruvananthapuram , Kerala having a Psephology centre , has conducted an opinion poll in connection with the ensuing Assembly election 2016 in Kerala.  The survey was conducted between May 1st and May 6th . The results were announced in a press conference held in the Press Club Hall, Thiruvananthapuram by MeeraSahib, Director of the organization. A total of 60,000 eligible voters across 20 constituencies were surveyed from the State. Two types of swing surveys and an opinion poll were conducted using random sampling techniques and the results were pooled and final results prepared. 

The Survey results reveal that C.P.I (M) and allies - L.D.F - are expected to win between 83-90 seats and will come back to power in Kerala .The Congress and allies may get 50-57 seats. BJP may not open account in this election in Kerala. 

The survey was conducted by a team of professional psephologists, Prof. M.M Safarulla Khan (Vice-Chairman, IMEG), Faculty members - A.M Joseph, T.P.Mukundan, Prof. J.  Jayakumar and Prof. (Dr) S. Tajudeen under the leadership of A. MeeraSahib, the Director General of I.M.E.G.
